Summary
food4future consists of four inter- and intra-active research fields (FF): FF I: Organisms, FF II: Urban Bio-Spheres, FF III: Smart Nutrition & Sensor Technology and FF IV: Social Science Analysis. F4F works in individual projects, which are networked in the context of the four food projects Todays Food, Designed Food, Natural Food and Future Food as well as with the four thematic research fields. In FF I, saline production systems for terrestrial and marine organisms (macroalgae, medusae, halophytes, insects) are developed in singular cultivation as well as in an interacting combination of organisms as single- or multi-compound raw material sources in urban biospheres. Using the targeted key technologies (UV) LED technology and composite lightweight materials, within ATBs project production of crickets innovation approaches are being developed from Proof of Principle as Lab Versions to the Proof of Concept with demonstrators for Designed Food and Natural Food.
