Projects supported by the LIFE Programme
LIFE is a European Union funding programme for environmental, nature and climate protection. It supports projects that promote sustainable solutions and put European environmental policy into practice. The aim is to achieve a resource-efficient, low-carbon economy and to protect biodiversity. LIFE funds concrete measures across the EU bringing about meaningful change and translate research findings into practical applications. The funded projects are self-contained and define concrete measures with positive impact on the environment.
LIFE projects serve to implement, update and develop European environmental policies and the corresponding legislation. They support the transition to a clean, circular, energy-efficient, low-carbon and climate-resilient economy and society. Furthermore, they are intended to make a decisive contribution to halting and reversing the loss of biodiversity.
