System Process Engineering
We analyse, model and optimise processes for the storage, conservation and processing of agricultural products. Research focusses on food and feed, as well as on raw materials for material and energetic use.
Our aim is to create modern, efficient process chains that contribute to added value chains in rural areas.
The addressed issues are mainly in the fields of mechanical and thermal process engineering. Tasks include basic research on the principles of function, the modelling and simulation of complex material and energy flows and the testing of machines and processes in agricultural practice.
Research and development results from a close, interdisciplinary cooperation of agricultural engineers, design engineers, software developers, fluid mechanics and thermodynamic experts.
