Professorship for “Systems Science in Bioeconomy” (W2)

The School of Mathematics/Computer Science/Physics at Osnabrück University and the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) seeks to appoint a Professor (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date in a joint appointment procedure based on the “Jülicher model”: „Systems Science in Bioeconomy” (W2 for the duration of 5 years).

Role:

The tasks of the professorship are carrying out research and teaching in the field of "Systems Science in Bioeconomy" as well as research and application of principles and methods in the field of systems science in bioeconomic systems with one of the following directions:

  • System dynamics model development
  • Cross-scale and cross-system modelling in natural, technical and/or social systems
  • Integration of mechanistic, process-based and/or data-driven models into macro-models
