How can digital technologies strengthen the autonomy and future viability of the agricultural, forestry and food sectors? The event will focus on the potential of digitalisation for security of supply, sustainable development and independent value creation.
The 47th Annual Conference of the Society for Informatics in Agriculture, Forestry and the Food Industry (GIL) is dedicated to the central theme of ‘Sovereignty in Agriculture, Forestry and the Food Industry’. The event is being jointly organised by the GIL and Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences at the Triesdorf campus. In addition to the main theme, the conference offers a forum for other current issues in agricultural informatics.
The annual conference brings together experts from academia, industry, consultancy and politics. It provides an opportunity to discuss the latest research findings and practical experiences, to learn about new developments in agricultural informatics, and to strengthen the exchange between research and practice. A welcome reception is planned for the evening before, on 15 February, to facilitate informal networking.
