Summary
EIP project Precise application of lime in Brandenburg - pH BB wants to improve the management of soil acidity in agricultural farms in Brandenburg. In Brandenburg, 74% of the areas suffer from reductions in yield and deterioration of soil fertility due to too high or too low pH values. With the aid of mobile soil sensors, important soil properties are to be recorded quickly, cost-effectively and in small scale as well as methods for processing the mapping data and calculation of fertilization recommendations. The aim is to provide practical solutions for the application of specific fertilizers, which make it easier to get started with precision liming. In addition to the coordinating university for sustainable development Eberswalde (HNEE) and the Leibniz Institute for Agraricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) and Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops Großbeeren e.V. (IGZ), five partners from agricultural practice are involved in the pH BB project.
