Research areas
In the WetNetBB project (https://wetnetbb.de/), I work as a Research Data Manager, supporting data governance and data integration across interdisciplinary research activities on sustainable peatland use. The project brings together agriculture, science, and industry to demonstrate how rewetted lowland peatlands in Brandenburg can contribute simultaneously to climate protection, biodiversity conservation, and regional value creation through innovative biomass utilisation.
Committees and boards
At the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB), my work focuses on research data management and data governance in support of interdisciplinary agricultural and bioeconomy research. I contribute to the development of FAIR- and GDPR-compliant data management strategies that improve data quality, traceability, and long-term usability across projects.
My activities include establishing data governance frameworks, metadata standards, and centralized data management solutions that support transparent data lifecycles from data collection to analysis and reuse. I work closely with researchers and technical staff to align scientific requirements with practical data workflows.
Previously, I worked in applied data science and scientific data management in geophysics and space weather research, contributing to EU-funded projects involving large-scale sensor data, predictive modeling, and open-source software development. This background informs my current work at ATB, particularly in supporting complex experimental data and reproducible research practices.
