21 Jan 2026: EMeRGE Symposium 2026

How can greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture be reduced in a targeted manner without compromising the potential for biogas production?

This question is the focus of the final symposium of the EMeRGE research project, to which we cordially invite you to ATB in Potsdam on 21 January 2026.

The EMeRGE project investigated innovative approaches to reducing methane and nitrous oxide emissions from manure and digestate storage, focusing on practicality, emission impact and effects on downstream processes such as biogas production.

What you can expect:

  • Current research results from laboratory, pilot and field trials
  • Insights into emission reduction through additive approaches
  • Technical exchange between science, agriculture and industry
  • Excursion to the Teaching and Research Institute for Animal Breeding and Animal Husbandry (LVAT) in Groß Kreutz with a demonstration of innovative measurement technology

When: 21 January 2026

Where: Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB), Potsdam

Participation is free of charge. Registration is required.
