Summary
The aim of the third phase of the I4S project is to develop a sensor-based system that will, in particular, provide recommendations for site-specific fertilization management and thus help to improve soil functions and reduce environmental pollution. The focus is on site-specific control of the main nutrients nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, soil reaction (pH) and organic matter in the topsoil. With the help of mobile soil sensors to be newly developed and soil process models adapted to them, spatially highly resolved information will be obtained, which will serve a user-friendly decision support system for the control of N, P, K and lime fertilization - differentiated for almost every square meter of soil.
