Summary
The aim of the project is the design and development of post-harvest technologies for improved food safety and food security. To this end, cost-effective solutions are investigated and developed in order to reduce post-harvest losses in fresh mangos on the way from the producer to the market / consumer. To achieve these goals, the use of environmentally friendly and energy-saving technologies along the value chain of fresh mangos in the Sub-Saharan region is planned. The project establishes a long-term cooperation between the Leibniz Institute for Agrartechnology and Bioökonomie and the Tshwane University of Technology (South Africa).
