Summary
This topic is to investigate the gas flow, particle flow, and heat and mass transfer in a rotary dryer for protein plants. Research focusses on modelling heat and mass transfer in the drum based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and to study the effect of design elements and process parameters like temperature, moisture, product, and air flow rate. The future prospect is to design efficient and gentle rotary dryers.
