The 32nd International Horticultural Congress (IHC 2026) will take place from 23 to 28 August 2026 in Kyoto, Japan. As one of the world’s largest congresses in the field of horticulture, the event brings together researchers, professionals from industry and politics, and other stakeholders to discuss current developments and future challenges in horticultural science.
Under the theme “Exploring the Diversity of Horticulture”, the congress covers a wide range of topics – from sustainable production systems and plant breeding, through digitalisation and automation, to climate-resilient cultivation systems and innovative technologies across the entire value chain. The programme includes plenary lectures, symposia, workshops, poster sessions, as well as technical excursions and networking events.
The event will take place at the Kyoto International Conference Centre. In addition, a programme of special academic events, excursions and social activities has been organised to encourage professional exchange and international networking.
