Summary
The aim of the Explaining 4.0 project is to develop methods that make a significant contribution to a holistic -global- understanding of AI models. Efficiency (through a priori knowledge), comprehensibility (through semantic elements) and robustness are the three key elements. The result is a flexible open-source tool that ensures broad applicability and a sustainable transfer of research results for industry and science. The Explaining 4.0 project will thus make a decisive contribution to the deeper understanding of AI models and ultimately also serve as improved support for ethical, legal and social issues.
