Under the title ‘The blue-green interface: innovations for smart water strategies from farm to sea’, ATB is organising a panel discussion as part of the 18th Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA).
This expert panel will examine how innovative approaches from the blue and green bioeconomy can help make food production more resilient. The focus will be on the connection between the blue and green bioeconomy: integrated strategies will be presented and discussed, ranging from crop production and animal husbandry to marine production. Concrete examples, such as the use of rainwater, will illustrate how circular and water-efficient systems can look in practice. The Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) and the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) are coordinating the work on this expert panel within the Leibniz Lab Systemic Sustainability.
Join the discussion and discover how science, politics and practice are working together on sustainable food systems.
