As part of FRUIT LOGISTICA, the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) once again brought together international experts from science and practice at the FRUTIC Science Symposium. More than 150 participants took advantage of the event on the Farming Forward stage to discuss current research results and innovative technologies for data-driven, sustainable fruit and vegetable supply.
The symposium on 6 February 2026 focused on solutions to key challenges along the entire value chain – from climate resilience and efficient water management to digitalisation, artificial intelligence and robotics. Leading researchers demonstrated how data-based decisions can conserve resources, secure yields and make production systems more resilient. The symposium thus provided an important platform for knowledge transfer and specifically strengthened the bridge between research, technology development and practical application.
The great response and lively professional exchange confirm FRUTIC's role as a driving force in the industry. The symposium will continue next year – the venue has not yet been decided, but the international community can already look forward to the next edition.
