The Leibniz Research Network Mathematical Modeling and Simulation established the “Leibniz MMS Days” back in 2016, and since then the MMS Days have – with a longer break during covid – been held yearly. The location and thus host of the MMS Day changes every year, and thus the 9th Leibniz MMS Days in March of 2026 will take place at the Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics (IHP) in Frankfurt (Oder).
The workshop event aims to further develop the MMS' network activities and to thus strengthen the communal spirit as well as the future viability. Through shedding light on modern MMS-methods a more detailed and clear overview of the work and activities of the network is supposed to be given to all attendants. Another goal of the event is to offer a platform for further personal exchange and discussions. ATB itself was the host of the MMS-Days back in 2023. Find out more about it here.
Topics:
The workshop features contributions and discussions on:
- MMS related topics at large
- Research Software and Data Infrastructures
- Research Data, Reproducibility, Open Science
In addition to plenary sessions, special parallel workshops are planned, for example on the topic of “Computational Material Science and AI”. There will further be contributions by several keynote guests, which will offer more thematically relevant information and insights.
Depending on the final number of submissions, the number of currently planned Specific Sessions may be altered.
