As part of a broad replacement planting initiative, Peter Cersovsky and colleagues from the System Process Engineering department, led by Benjamin Selge, planted 145 trees. The dedicated campaign was completed at the end of 2023 and marks an important and sustainable step for our environment.

The employees were highly engaged to the planting campaign. "It was a great team effort that clearly shows the solidarity and dedication of our institute employees," says Benjamin Selge, test engineer in the Systems Process Engineering department, describing the campaign.

Another important step towards watering the newly planted trees was the application for and installation of a so-called garden water meter, here as a hydrant standpipe, by Michael Anton, in-house technician at ATB. "We also successfully converted an old car trailer and tanker to use it as a mobile water source for watering the newly planted trees," explains Michael Anton. This initiative to reuse and reorganise resources underlines the environmentally conscious and sustainable thinking at the institute.

"The planting of 145 trees and the accompanying irrigation measures demonstrate not only the commitment, but also the innovative strength and collaborative spirit of our employees. On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this major campaign," says Alice Hohn, Administrative Director of ATB.
