The 46th Annual Conference of the ‘Gesellschaft für Informatik in der Land-, Forst- und Ernährungswirtschaft’ (GIL) will take place in Soest from 24 to 25 February 2026. The event serves as a scientific forum for the exchange of current research work and methodological approaches at the interface of computer science, agricultural, forestry and food sciences.
The annual conference will focus on the development and use of interoperable data spaces in agriculture, forestry and the food industry, as well as the technical, organisational and legal framework conditions for data-based decision-making processes. The scientific programme includes peer-reviewed technical papers, poster presentations and topic-specific workshops. The contributions address both theoretical foundations and studies and application examples that analyse the added value of data-based methods for the efficiency and sustainability of agroforestry systems.
The annual conference focuses on concepts, methods and framework conditions for the development and use of data spaces in agriculture, forestry and the food industry, as well as their significance for data-based decision-making processes in research and practice.
