From Bakery Waste to Bioplastics

BREAD4PLA Workshop at the ATB

BREAD4PLA is a LIFE+ demonstrative European project. Its main objective is to demonstrate the technical and economic viability of using waste products from the bakery sector in the fabrication of a 100% biodegradable film. It will establish and operate a continuous pilot plant at pre-industrial scale for the synthesis of Polylactic Acid (PLA) from bakery waste products.
