The third edition of Agri Idea Sprout will take place on 28 August 2025, bringing together relevant stakeholders from the agribusiness sector who are interested in working together. The focus will be on collaborative cooperation to develop innovative solutions. The event is characterised by dialogue and an increased cooperation between members of the Agrotech Valley Forum and commercial enterprises, science and industry, as well as economic development and politics. The event format invites participants to intensify an open exchange and creates an environment in which ideas can sprout.
The event will be kicked off with a 30-minute keynote speech by our head of Department Agromechatronics and spokesperson for the Joint Lab Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cornelia Weltzien, titled ‘Does automation enable more sustainability in crop production? – Diversification increases resilience, sustainability and productivity – how do we achieve diversified systems? Questions for agricultural research and practice’. In her presentation, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Central to this is shaping the transformation towards a more sustainable and efficient agricultural and food industry. To this end, Agrotech Valley works across the boundaries of business, science and administration to address the challenges facing the industry. The vision is to create a region that is a globally significant incubator for sustainable food production based on digital technologies.
The Agrotech Valley Forum is already one of our partners in our expansion project, and we plan to become part of the forum ourselves in the near future.
