WG Economics of technologies in agriculture

The working group investigates the economic impact of the use of technical innovations in agriculture, especially in crop production and animal husbandry. This includes technologies and innovations in the field of digitalisation, fertilization and the adaptation of processes regarding the requirements of environmental and climate protection. The adaptation of processes to climate protection is of great significance. The effects on greenhouse gas emissions are therefore also included in the assessment of economic effects.

With the consideration of data from agricultural systems, the finalised analyses are based on economic calculations. The scenarios are being analysed by the use of Simulations.
