Research programs

Our research work is organized in three programs.
The programs address global challenges. The objectives are

Within the research programs, international teams of scientists from various disciplines work together to solve the specific research tasks.

 

 

Precision farming in crop and livestock production

The program is dedicated to site-adapted, sustainable intensification in the area of primary agricultural production up to and including product harvesting.

Quality and safety of food and feed

Research covers the entire spectrum between primary production and consumption of fresh or minimally processed plant and animal products, including fruit, vegetables, cereals, milk, meat and insects.

Material and energetic use of biomass

The aim is to develop efficient technology and processes for the provision of biogenic recyclable materials and energy sources from agriculture for a sustainable, biobased recycling economy.
