Lactic acid for biopolymers
From vegetable raw or waste materials, such as grain, straw or bagasse, we produce by means of biotechnological processes lactic acid - a basic chemical for bioplastics. The continuous fermentation processes and the technical structure of a resource-efficient down-stream processes are implemented in a pilot plant. The scale up to preindustrial level enables process optimization from the various raw materials and conversion technology to delivery of product samples with specific characteristics. The aim is a stable and economically competitive process technology based on a wide range of raw materials.
