Areas of research


  • Physical properties of fresh fruit
  • in-situ assessment of tree and fruit by means of spectral-optical (LiDAR, multi- and hyperspectral methods, time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy, laser-induced backscattering imaging)
  • Precision Horticulture (applications of in-situ analysis in harvest management, prediction of fruit bearing capacity, irrigation in woody plants, anoxia in the root zone)
