Working group Analytical chemistry

Our testing methods include gas chromatography, photometry, gravimetry, the determination of physical parameters, sum parameters, atomic spectroscopy, elemental analysis and ion chromatography.

For internal projects we provide the accompanying analysis such as

  • Determination of plant-available nutrient contents according to VDLUFA
  • Examination of soil, roots, biochar, fermentation residues, energy crops, water and waste water
  • Quality parameters in harvest samples
  • Analysis of food and feed, plant samples and renewable resources
  • Total phosphorus
  • Kjeldahl nitrogen
  • Organic carbon
  • pH value
  • Sugar and lactic acid
  • Fermentation acids
  • Fibre and fat content

The analytical department has core competences in the field of carbohydrate analysis and the determination of fermentation acids in biogas reactors.


In our professionally equipped laboratories, state-of-the-art equipment and procedures are available for the analytical determination of measured values.
