Leibniz-Institute for Agricultural Engineering Potsdam-Bornim e.V. (ATB)

 

Founded in 1992, ATB today is one of Europe’s leading research institutes in the area of agricultural engineering. With its scientific expertise in the fields of biomass, emissions, soil and water in agriculture, among others, ATB provides support for decision makers in policy, industry, and agriculture.

The research of ATB is organized within four programs: Precision farming and precision livestock production; Quality and safety of food and feed; Material and energetic use of biomass and Technology assessment in agriculture. The central task of the ATB is to create technical and process-engineering bases for sustainable land management and the development of efficient technologies for industry and agriculture. Main target group of the ATB work is the scientific community.
