This is the last issue
(6/2007)
of Agricultural Engineering Research. The
Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering
Potsdam-Bornim e.V. (ATB) is discontinuing
publication.
Since its first appearance
in 1995 more than 200 peer-evaluated
contributions on research results have been
published in the journal. It contained original
scientific publications as well as key papers from all
areas of agricultural and environmental engineering.
Despite intensive efforts to improve the
international visibility of Agricultural
Engineering Research, it was not possible to
achieve inclusion in the international
literature database Web of Science. Against this
background, protracted discussions at ATB and
within various panels were unable to devise a
solution to secure the economic survival and
continuation of Agricultural Engineering
Research.
The publisher and the
editorial staff wish to thank all readers,
authors, the Scientific Advisory Board, and all reviewers, whose work has substantially
co-defined the overall image of Agricultural
Engineering Research, and last but not least the
publishing Landwirtschaftsverlag.
More background
information is given by the editorial of
this last
issue of Agricultural Engineering
Research /Agrartechnische Forschung.
