"EU Agro Biogas - European Biogas Initiative to improve the yield of agricultural biogas plants"
Main target of the project is the enhancement of the energy yield of agricultural biogas plants. For reaching that target labscale expirements where conducted as well as fullscale experiments at praxis plants.
The research at the ATB is aiming at the improvement of substrate characteristics by enzymatic and thermo-barical pretreatment.
An enhancement of the praxis plant should also be reached by optimisation of the process and the installations.
After the execution of lab scale experiments the transferability of the results to the full scale should be demonstrated on the praxis plant-site. This plant-site is a biogas-plant that also uses coferments and has got an installed electric power of 1,4MW.
