Development of an Online-Analysis and Controlling Unit for milk production

The goal is to develop a milking technique, which is able to use intelligent sensors for measuring the amount of milk and for controlling the milking machine. Especially vacuum pulsation and milk stop must be controllable for each individual quarter.
The information, which is necessary for reaching an optimal result in milking, has to be presented to the milker by using a central terminal.
The challenge is to measure the vacuum as close as possible to the top of the teat. The reaction time for continuous measurement of vacuum in an air-milk-mixture must be short.
This way an optimal controlling of vacuum and pulsation can be reached. Thus, the present circumstances at the teat can be improved, through the application of that approach.
